The Best and Brightest of Design Events in India and Elsewhere
IVS School of Design presents 'COVID - Competition of Vibrant Ideas & Design'
We are inviting entries in the form of creative artwork, (paintings, sketches, sculptures, designs, etc.) from professionals and students, created or prepared during the lockdown.
Guidelines for Participation:
1. Participants can enter a maximum of 1 creative work only.
2. Entries must be submitted with a statement on its conceptualization to "artfest@ivsindia.com".
3. The deadline for submitting your entry is 15th May 2020, 6:00 pm.
4. Participants also need to post their entry on social media with the hashtag #COVIDArtFest and tag @IVSSchoolIndia.
5. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, concept, utilization of resources and eco-friendliness.

Conclave at the INDEX Fair
Our Co-Founder, Darpan Katyal, spoke on changing business dynamics and its effects on the Interior Design and Build industry and on real estate at the round table conference at the INDEX trade fairs, India’s leading platform for interior design for the last 30 years.
The outcomes were presented and documented to be used by NICMAR (The National Institute of Construction Management and Research).
Lean In Public Sector (LIPS) 2019
CDI's Founder, Tulika Puri Katyal, spoke at the Lean In Public Sector event in the Capital. Talking about the need for design thinking, she highlighted the need to leverage the innovative startup culture for the infrastructure sector, typically a late adopter as far as innovations are concerned.

Center for Design & Innovation's Founder and co-Founder, Tulika Puri Katyal and Dr. Narottam Puri, were recently at the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Pune, Maharashtra where Dr. Puri delivered a guest lecture on innovations in healthcare.
Contract and Commercial Design 2018
Interior and lifestyle design stalwarts got together for an intensive two-days long event at Aerocity, New Delhi.

management companies, corporate clients, contractors and consultants made the most of this B2B event to ideate, co-create and network.
Students from CDI's Founding organisation, the IVS School of Design, took part in the event's highlight: a competition to design the future workspaces of 2030.
Building Business Collaborations
CDI was at the India-UK FutureTech Festival, a thought leadership summit bringing together business, policy makers, venture capitalists, scientists and entrepreneurs. Announced by Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Theresa May in April 2018, the festival is a major initiative under the India-UK Technology Partnership.
CDI's IndustryConnect program had a direct overlap with this Festival and our participation is expected to open up d2b and b2d collaborations between the two countries.
Paper Planes: Teaching Environment-friendly Design
Do you look at wooden furniture and wonder what impact it had on the environment? The IVS School of Design's week-long workshop took on this challenge heads-on with furniture designed using fabricated cardboard tubes.
And that's not all: the workshop curriculum equipped all participants to develop design competency skills as per industry requirements, making this one of the most sought-after trainings at IVS. Prototypes designed during the workshop included coffee tables, seating and light fixtures.
